Action: (please do not skip this very important step)
(1) Configure DHCP server for your environment.

Change 2 lines in the configuration file. Printing out of this page is recommended.

Assumptions: that you have already found out
(a) the proper DNS name-servers for your location (click here)
(b) the proper domain suffix for your location (also known as domain-name) (click here)


Boot up LRP, login as root, select (3)-Package settings, choose dhcpd, select dhcpd daemon config, you will see this:

Change home.com to the proper domain suffix for your location.
Change 198.80.55.1, 198.161.156.1; to the proper DNS servers for your location.

For example, g Alberta Telus ADSL subscribers would do something like this:

For example, g Columbus, Ohio Time-Warner subscribers would do something like this:

Ctrl-S and Enter to save the changes, Ctrl-C and (q) twice, (B) for backup,
choose dhcpd
reboot

Microsoft Outlook/Exchange Corporate E-mail users

If you use "Outlook with Exchange Corporate E-mail", the "domain-name" should be set to your
company's Exchange Server domain suffix. Ask your company IT or ICT support personnel.
