Action: Release your IP address

With the "original Windows machine" connected to the Cable Modem and ADSL modem:

gWindows NT/2000/XP:

Click g ... g type  cmd

a black screen should pop up, type ipconfig  /release

Shutdown the Windows machine.

g Windows 95/98/ME:

Click g ... g type  winipcfg

a "IP Configuration" screen should pop up, 
select (from the drop-down box) your  Ethernet card (not the PPP Adapter)

click  the "Release All" button.

Shutdown the Windows machine.
