How to get a Canadian Starbucks account to use complimentary Wi-Fi at Canadian Starbucks
(1) Get a Starbucks
Card from a Starbucks store, deposit a nominal
amount on the card (note: Safeway-Starbucks stores can't activate the
card).
(2) Go to https://www.starbucks.com/card/register/ to register your Starbucks Card
and get a Starbucks.com account
Write
down your Starbucks.com account Username and password and
store them in a safe place.
(3) Register an AT&T
Wi-Fi account from http://www.starbucks.com/wifi/
Write
down your AT&T Wi-Fi account Username and password and
store them in a safe place.
At the end of successful AT&T Wi-Fi account registration, you should see this screen.
(4)
Check your email and respond to the email from AT&T Wi-Fi to
complete your AT&T Wi-Fi account
registration.
How to access Starbucks Wi-Fi Internet:
In Canada (about 600 Starbucks
stores. Through inter-carrier roaming, it may include UPS Store, Second Cup, Kelowna airport).
Some Starbucks have no Wi-Fi; some
Starbucks have Wi-Fi but choose to install and manage their own Wi-Fi.
(a) Connect to the wireless
network SSID "hostspot_Bell"
(b) Open a browser, a complicated login screen appears.
(c) Select "Starbucks
account" to login, enter your Starbucks.com
account Username
and password created
in step (2) above. See below.
In
USA (approximately 6700 Starbucks stores are Starbucks-owned).
Note: not
all stores have Wi-Fi hotspots, but most do. Some Starbucks have Wi-Fi
but choose to install and manage their own Wi-Fi access points.
(a) You need to use or top up your Starbucks Card within the past 30 days so that you can use the
complimentary Starbucks-AT&T Wi-Fi.
(b) Connect to the
wireless network SSID "attwifi"
(c) Open a browser. A login screen pops up, see below.
(d) On the Starbucks-AT&T login page, enter
your Username;
select AT&T Wi-Fi from
the drop down box; and your password
created in step (3) above.
